Studio Agung

The open indoor living space features a sleeping area with a king-size bed, an adjacent sofa lounge area. Studio Agung also offers a fully equipped kitchenette, allowing guests the freedom to prepare their own meals. A spacious bathroom and toilet area is located between living and sleeping areas. The full glass front from the sleeping and sofa area opens seamlessly to a wood decking inviting to relax in the sun on the outdoor lounge chairs, take a dip into the plunge pool to the right or just relax on one of the sunbeds, overlooking the rice terraces. A BBQ is provided as well. 

The setup of Studio Agung allows our guests to truly enjoy a natural Bali experience taking advantage of both outdoor and indoor living spaces. Enjoy a look out on Bali’s rice terraces through the full window facade in the morning, have a coffee on the terrace, take in some sun and jump into the plunge pool for refreshment. Or enjoy an enclosed and cooled indoor room, yet overlooking one of Canggu’s most beautiful rice fields. Whatever your preference, make sure to not miss out on the most beautiful sunsets with the sun setting right over the rice terraces turning the sky fiery red. Best enjoyed with friends and a beverage. 

The entire Studio Agung unit was built with a large focus on sustainability. Stilting the unit up 40cm reduces the amount of concrete required for foundations is minimized, while it ensures a constant airflow cooling the unit, hence also the holey back wall to ensure the air circulation. The front decking is built from reclaimed iron wood from Dutch ports in Kalimantan, while the shower panels are made of upcycled plastic caught in Bali’s rivers by Sungai Watch, cleaned and heat pressed into the panels. Lastly, the unit features a 5 kw/p solar system on its roof to ensure the operation is as environmentally friendly as possible.
